The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) includes unique provisions aimed at promoting investment in Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZs) across the United States. Under the legislation, Qualified Opportunity Funds (QOFs) offer multi-year deferral and partial reduction of rollover capital gains, as well as complete elimination of capital gains on QOF investments held for at least ten years.

We believe QOF investments should stand on their own and QOZ tax benefits are best used as an enhancement to the core investment. Our strategy is simple: to dovetail on Philadelphia’s established urban renewal trends by developing and operating medium-size multifamily properties across Philadelphia’s sub-markets that are most likely to benefit from urban renewal trends.

Our inaugural fund intends to opportunistically develop multifamily assets through the economic cycle with a focus on long term appreciation.
